WHY EDGAR G. BROWN SHOULD BE ELECTED TO CONGRESS FROM FIRST DISTRICT OF ILLINOIS He is experienced and conversant with City, State and National affairs. His Race loyalty is unquestioned. He will cast his vote, work, speak and support an appropriation to give immediate federal relief for the hungry, destitute and unemployed of our own country first. He stands for enforcement of the whole Constitution, including the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendment*. He believes the Mason-Dixon political gap can only be spanned by a colored man elected to Congress on the Democratic ticket. Sixty-five years of loyalty to one party has been unsuccessful in securing the ballot for 10,000,000 Negro citizens. He stands for absolute political emancipation, freedom from demagoguery, and corruption in public office. He has always been counted with those true patriots in every crusade to protect the sacred rights of every human being, and the welfare of all, regardless of race or creed.
