sf ,-¦ RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Constitution of Maryland admonishes the Governor of the State to "take care that the Laws are faithfully executed," and WHEREAS, in violation of the laws and of every decent principle of civilized humanity a lawless mob in one section of this State recently perpetrated the brutish and cowardly atrocity of lynching a wounded victim, swathed in bandages, whom they forcibly took from a hospital bed and whose body they dragged through the streets and burned, and WHEREAS, not one of the perpetrators of this outrage against the State and its law-abiding citizens has been brought to the bar of justice and, whereas, no serious effort is being made to enforce the Laws against them, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED that the Federation of Republican Women of Maryland respectfully urge His Excellency, Governor Albert C. Eitchie, to suspend his campaign for President of the United States and return to the "free" State of Maryland long enough to carry out his Constitutional duty to see that the Laws of the State are faithfully executed. BE IT FUHBUUt RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be sent to Governor Ritchie. Adopted this 9th day of December, 1931. / /Secretary. '#/ <* {/y^i^^Cf Chairman.
