The Stato authorities are doinc everything possible to apprehond the perpetrators rcho partioipatod in the lynching of the Negro illianis. I enclose you editorial from Ihe Baltimoro Sun of Decerober 11th outlininc the steps which I have taken in this ease and in tho case of Orphan Jonos, and also full copy of ny statenent issued on T,ooerabQr Cth after the "ilHaiaa' lynching. Under ray direction, the Attorney General of the Stato has boon on the Eastern Shore for two days and will roturn tomorrow for the purpose of personally investigating the situation on the spot.
