My dear Sir: We, the District Superintendents of the Washington Annual Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church, desire to submit to you for your consideration the inclosed statement as our protest against the lynching of Mathew Williams in the Town of Salisbury, Maryland, December 4, 1931, also that of Thomas Jackson and George Banks in the City of Lewisburg, West Virginia, December 10, 1931.
