Hon. albert C. Ritohie, Governor, Baltimore Maryland. My Dear Sir; Press reports from Salisbury Maryland would indicate that the Wioomico county grand jury were unable to return any indictments in the lynching of Matthew "'illiams last December. I am able to give a lead at this time that possibly would oring about results in this case, although at this time I would not want my name connected with the case. I will watch with intrest to see if there are any farther developments, and if there are I will give you the full details of my information, along with my name and address. However J am not a citizen of Maryland. I am in a position to say that Raymond Magee, who is in the garage business at Berlin Maryland was a member of this mob. I am of the opinion that if the right steps were taken Magee would give the necessary information in this case. The sourse of my information is reliable, in fact it came from Magee himself, and is in Magees' own handwriting, out it came through a party that I don't want to involve at this time. Very truly yours, A STRONG SUPPORTER OF GOV. RITCHIE. \J^
