Honorable Sir:-- A few days ago I read in the papers here of a horrible Crime committed in a Town called, Salisbury, situated in the South Eastern part of Maryland. The person brutally Lynched by the J£ob was Mack Williams. At the time the Crime was committed l think you were in Htv York, and upon hearing of this, you immediately left to go to Maryland to make an investigation, of the affair. j>iow, 1 am sure that as Governor of the State of Maryland that you and your co-workers will make a thorough investigation and see that Justice is done and the right parties properly punished.
