Women's International League for Peace and Freedom Maryland Branch December 9,1931 Governor Albert C. Ritchie Executive Mansion Annapolis, Maryland Dear Governor Ritchie, At a meeting of the Maryland Branch of the Women's international league for Peace and Freedom, held on December 5, 1931, the following resolution was unanimously adopted:- BE IT RESOLVED that the Maryland Branch of the Women'8 international League for Peace and Freedom hereby deeply regrets the lynching of a prisoner by a mob in Salisbury, Maryland, on December 4,1931, and heartily commends the stand which your Excellency has taken in regard to bringing to justice those responsible for this act of violence in contempt of the laws of the State.
