BALTIMORE is the metropolis of Maryland, which combines the scenic beauty of towering
mountains, of fertile low lands and of great stretches of water in its Chesapeake Bay
and large rivers.
• The City is rich in historic interest, dating from Colonial days and boasts numerous
monuments to its military leaders.
• Situated as it is at the head of the Chesapeake Bay and being the terminus of many large
