OFFICE OF BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS. ^Baltimore. Monday. December 15, 1902. / Board met; present, Messrs Upshur, Morris and Fowler. The minutes of the previous meeting, Friday December 12,1902, were read, approved and adopted. Trial. Officer Matthew Sporrer, Northeastern District, was fined §1.00 for having been thirty-five minutes late for roll-call, 3.45 A.M., December 15,1902. Appointment of Matron. The Secretary reported that the term for which Ella Marfield, matron assigned to the Western District, was appointed December 14,1898, expired yesterday. The Board thereupon, by the vote as shown hereunder, re-appointed Ella Marfield a matron in the Police Department, for the term of four years from date. The vote upon the appointment of Ella Marfield, matron, as mentioned, was:- Fresident Upshur........Yea, Commissioner Morris......Yea, Commissioner Fowler......Yea. Lap Robe* Marshal & Deputy Marshals Carriage. Upon the recommendation of the Lieutenant of Mounted Police it was ordered, by the vote as given below, that there be purchased two heavy lap robes, one for the use of the Marshal and one for the Deputy Marshal's carriage. The vote upon the purchase of lap robes, as above, was:- President Upshur, .....Yea, Commissioner Morris,...Yea, Commissioner Fowler,...Yea. (See recommendation filed, as Exhibit No. 899.)
