Kurtz, one of the clerks in the Treasurer's office here, is confined to his home at Oregon, with an attack of "Flu." —Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Parks, of Washington, spent the week-end with Mr. Parks' parents here, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel A. Parks. —Little Miss Mary Koontz, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. R. G. Koontz, is ill with a heajfy cold, although somewhat improved. —The stork paid a visit to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Campbell on Tuesday last and left a bouncing baby boy of 9% pounds. —Suffering with a severe attack of La Grippe, Mr. John W. Corbett, associated in the Road Engineer's office here, is confined to his home. —In the Circuit Court here a petition was filed this week, asking that the C. Weisbrod Cooperage Company, of Lutherville, be dissolved. —The Towson Fire Engine Company was called to Lutherville one day the early part of this week to extinguish a blaze in the store on Seminary avenue and the railroad tracks there. —Mr. Martin Kottman, of Altoona, Pa., and Miss Irene Schuler, of New York city, returned to their homes today, after an extended visit to their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schuler. —Rev. Mr. Harrison was just recovering from a case of blood-poisoning when he contracted pneumonia. —County Treasurer N. HOLBROOK AUTO CORPORATION Salesroom, 810 N. Charles Street Phone, Mt. Vernon 5648 Service Station, 318 W. Biddle Street Phone, Mt. Vernon 2869 FACTORY: COLUMBUS, OHIO avenue, on Wednesday, death being caused by pneumonia. —Rev. William Nichol, who resided on W. Chesapeake avenue, here, for some time, and who moved to Monkton, and who has been quite 111, was a visitor at the county seat on Monday last, wearing a full-grown beard. No wonder his old acquaintances didn't recognize him. —"What fools ye mortals be." A gentleman who stopped in front of Stieber's store here, on Saturday night last, came mighty near being minus his automobile. Something was wrong with one of his spark plugs and he raised the hood, light a match to look and in a minute the carburator was ablaze. —Quite a number of Towsonites attended the wedding of Miss Nellie Schuler and Mr. William E. Treadwell, at the Towson M. P. -Church on Saturday evening last. After the ceremony, the bridal couple left for a honeymoon to Buffalo and Niagara Falls, and upon their return will make their home in Norfolk, Va. —Owing to the illness of the Rev. Richard G. Koontz, pastor of Towson M. E. Church, the Rev. Dr. John T. Ensor, Superintendent of East Baltimore District, preached at the Sunday morning service and administered the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper. Mr. L. H. Stansbury, the teacher of the Men's Bible Class, delivered a very instructive discourse at 8 P. M. —Come on Mr. Keagy, beat this record if you can. Mr. J. W. The hens are keeping up the good work, and notwithstanding weather conditions, have dropped 37 eggs in the first five days of this month. —That Towson is getting more like New York every day there can be no doubt, for if anyone chanced to pass the Masonic Temple Building here on Tuesday night last and saw the number of automobiles parked outside, they would have thought they were on Fifth avenue, in the "Big City." The occasion that required the parking of so many cars was the banquet held by Mt. Moriah Lodge of Masons. —The people on the East Joppa road read so much about President Wilson going to take a vacation in some unknown place, that when the first cottage erected by the Black & Decker Manufacturing Company, on the Joppa road, was occupied this week by a gentleman who was the "spitting image" of the President, Towson was "agog" with reports that Woodrow Wilson had moved into one of the Black & Decker houses. Those who were filled with curiosity and who ventured near enough to the "White House," found President Wilson to be Mr. Leonard, one of Black & Decker's employees. EVNA. Preaching services at the U. All units are arranged so as to work in perfect harmony, and no part performs more than the function for which it was originally intended.
