THE JEFFERSONIAN, TOWSON, MARYLAND. LOCAL CORRESPONDENCE KINGSVILLE. Mrs. Ellen Brown is quite sick with: pneumonia. Her daughters, Miss Mary, Oi the Rosewood Training School, and Miss Alberta Brown, are nursing her. Mr. John Harden, wha was sent to bt. Joseph's Hospital, by Dr. J. F. H. u jrsuch, is reported improved. Mr. William Cloman is quite sick with grippe. His mother, Mrs. John L.oman, is caring for him. Mrs. Daniel Haynes, of Baltimore, was a visitor here on Sunday. Mr. Frank Hanna, who purchased the Si ore property of Mr. D. L. Dilworth, hhas been quite sick with pneumonia at his home, near Wilna. Mrs. George Martin died at her home here on Monday, and was buried at tue Cemetery of Mountain Christian U lurch on Thursday. Mrs. Robert Kayne and her daughter, Miss Mercia Kayne, are among the sick. Mr. Joseph Ferguson, who had a stroke of apoplexy, is improving. The family of Mr. William Kissling a.e all sick with grippe. -------------0------------- CHASE. While Miss Anna Norris, one of our assistant teachers is taking a six weeks' course at the State Normal School, Miss Katherine Marsh, a student from the Normal, is filling Miss Morris' p.. ace. in connection with the moving pictures op Thursday evening in Chase Hall, a fancy ball was given by the I.iovie-Heart Company. There is still much sickness in this i: .ghborhood. Miss Dora Fischer is q-„ite ill with grippe. Miss Marie Earle has been confined to her home in the city with grippe. Mrs. Edward Maddox and son, James, Mr. J. Tyson League, Mrs. James Car-back and Miss Rhoda Vincent have L>< en quite sick, but are able *to be out again. Air. H. E. Brazier has returned from a business trip to Cleveland, Ohio. '.Irs. Kate Lay and daughter, Mar-fxi.ret, visited relatives in Baltimore, Sunday. -------------o------------- FREELAND. Travel in this section has been somewhat impeded for the past week on a ount of thhe high winds blowing snow in the cuts. t'he mail carrier on route 3 from this point was badly hurt on last Friday by being upset from his sleigh on his nds. He is confined to his room. ' m Thursday, Mr. Edgar A. Shauck, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry J. ScSiauck, was buried in Mlddletown C< metery. He was twenty-two years oi age, and a native of this neigh-bi ) hood. A father, mother and three sisters are left to mourn.for one whom to know was to love.
