—Young "Billy" Eger, who is associated with the Hergenrather Drug Co., is now a papa, and "Bill's" wearing the "smile that won't come off."
—Judge Duncan, who has been sick at his home for a few days, attended the Directors meeting of the Towson National Bank on Wednesday last.
—Quite a few people of Towson attended the annual banquet of the White Hall Farmers' Club, held on Tuesday evening last.
—Mr. Chichester, from the Maryland State College of Agriculture, spent a few days this week with County Agent Hudson reviewing the Boys' Club work here.
—Mrs. Albert S. Cook, of Towson, will be one of the hostesses of the American Legion Society Circus, at the Fifth Regiment Armory, Baltimore, from March 8 to 13.
—Owing to the fact that the store Which he has been occupying has been sold, Mr. August C. Deichelman will close his paper hanging store until he gets another location.
—Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Oreaser, of the Oar-Mar Apartments, gave a birthday, dinner in honor of Mrs. Greaser's sister, Miss Florence Rudd, of Luther-ville, on Thursday evening last.
—Mr. and Mrs. S. Clayton Seitz, who recently sold their home to Mr. H. Frank Phipps, will occupy an apartment over the new ice plant they are erecting on W. Chesapeake avenue.
—There was quite a large attendance at the ceremonies held in the Court House on Sunday last, when the French certificates to the families of dead Baltimore county soldiers were awarded.
—A meeting of the Taxpayers' League was held in the Court House on Tuesday last, at which time the legislative committee reported on bills that were before the legislature, which the League advocated.
—At the home of Missi Florence Hil-gart.ner, the girls employed at the Black & Decker plant gave Miss Mary Zem-bauer a "Miscellaneous Shower" recently. Tomorrow Miss Zembauer will become the bride of Mr. Charles C. Gause.
—Mrs. Catherine Stebbins, mother of Mr. A. D. Stebbins, President of the Merchants and Miners Transportation Company, left Wednesday for a sea trip to Boston. Notwithstanding her 88 years, Mrs. Stebbins is extremely active.
—Mr. and Mrs. George C. Worstell, of Newtown, Pa., are guests of the Misses Pilsjon, on West Joppa road. Mrs. Worstell is a daughter of the late B. F. Church, publisher of the Baltimore County Advocate, and resided in Towson for a number of years in the early sixties.
—Dr. George Y. Massenburg and his wife, of Macon. Ga., are the guests of his brother-in-law and sister, State's
Attorney and Mrs. H. C. Jenifer. Dr. Massenburg's mother, Mrs. Carrie L. Massenburg, will return to Macon with her sion.
—Through Attorneys T. Scott Offutt and John L. Sandford, John T. Gor-such filed gtait in the Circuit Court here against Henry G. M. Kelloch, Jr., and wife, for alleged breach of contract for the sale of certain land near Stemmer's Run for $400.
—The big house on W. Chesapeake avenue, near Bosley avenue, recently purchased by Mr. S. H. Hampshire, of Baltimore, has been converted into apartments, the one aqjoining, which also belongs to Mr. Hampshire, is being remodelled now in apartments.
—The oyster supper held at Towson M. E. Church on Wednesday and Thursday evenings was well patronized. Delegations came from the Maryland College at Lutherville, Timonium, Idle-wylde, Riderwood and other out of town locations!. The ladies also served meals to parties from the Court House at noon on Thursday.
—-Miss Nellie V. Gray has recently been appointed principal of the Lutherville Public School to succeed Miss Olive Smith, who recently died. Miss Ida Held, who has been teaching at Guilford School has been made Principal at Baynestville to fill the vacancy made by Miss Gray, who heretofore was principal there.
—Mrs. Bessie Clunet Litsinger, wife of Rev. William H. Litsinger died last Tuesday morning, after a serious operation at a Baltimore hospital. Her funeral took place at her late residence, 1503 Mount Royal avenue, Baltimore, Thursday morning. The deceased was the sister of Mrs. A. C. Litsinger, who resides on Washington avenue. ,—"Uncle" Jack Tarbert has resigned iad gardner at the Sheppard-Pratt Hosnital here, and will occupy his cottage corner of Washington and Ware avenues, which he recently purchased from Mr. George C. Tracey. "Uncle" Jack's place will be filled by Mr. Cal-lahan, who for a number of years has been the gardener on the place of Mr. Thomas W. Offutt.
—On Monday last Mr. W. Kennedy Boone was selected as foreman of the Grand Jury for the March term of Court. The other members are William P. Zimmerman, Thomas D. White, Robert Rafferty, William Anderson, William E. Lovering, Philip McAdams, James M. Quinn, George W. Hoshall, Norris S. Tracey, John H. Cronehart, Elijah J. Fishpaugh, Harry T. Campbell, Owen C. Morris, Josias J. George, Morris R. Todd, William G. Lynch!, James S. Lambert, William Weber, James Doyle. Joseph Gross, J. Frank Neal and J. Howard Schunk
