Bossom. ___ Mrs. John Peregoy and daughter, Mildred, and Mrs. Peter Wilhelm, and Mrs. Prank P. Bossom were guests on Wednesday at the home of Mrs. William C. Morfoot. Miss Grace Wilhelm, of Mt. Carmel, is visiting her sister, Mrs. John T. Haile. Mrs. John T. Kemp visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Cox on Thursday. Master John Peregoy spent several days last week at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elijah T. Haile. Mrs. John Wilhelm and children visited her sister, Mrs. George Peregoy, of Mt. Carmel, on Sunday. Messrs. Prank P. Bossom, Lewis E. Morfoot, J. Best Wheeler, Jacob Wilhelm, Jr., and Joseph M. Armacost with a number of others) spent Thursday in Annapolis. Mrs. Harrison Wilhelm and children spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ashe. Mrs. Lula M .Martin and daughter, Pauline, spent Sunday at the home of Mrs. Oliver Cox and Mrs. George E. Haile. Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Wilhelm, Jr., Mrs. Edward Armacost, Mr. Elijah Haile and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Wilhelm visited at the home of Mrs. William Morfoot on Sunday. Mrs. George E. Haile and son, Russell, spent Sunday with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Wisner, of Foreston. Mr. and Mrs. Silas Lloyd spent Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Haile. Miss Pauline Haile is spending some time at the home of Mrs. Herbert Rhoten. Mr. Peter Wilhelm will have a public sale on March 31. ----------o---------- BORING. SHANE. The Ladies' Sewing Circle of West Liberty met at the home of Mrs. L. A. Keech last Friday. Quite a large crowd was present. Mr. and Mrs. George Edie and daughter are spending some time with Mrs. Edie's sister, Mrs. Cleveland Hulshart, at Norrisville. The stork visited the home of Mr. and fine Mrs. B. Hollingshead and left baby boy. The folks of Stabler's Church gave a play last Saturday night in the church. Quite a large crowd was present. Mrs. Laura Meredith is on the sick list. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Wilson and children spent last Sunday with Mrs. Leonard Wright. ____ [Continued on Page 3.) Mr. and Mrs. Walter Myers were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Green. Mrs. Milton Devilbliss has returned home after spending (feveral weeks with her siaiter, Mrs. Edgar Cullison, whose family has been ill with flu. Mr. Lee Ness, of Baltimore, spent the week-end with his family, of this place. Mrs. Laura Gill is spending some time in Baltimore. Mr. Dickson Upperco, who has been very ill with flu, is| much improved. Mr. Bernard Osborne, of Baltimore spent Sunday with his sister, Mrs. Joseph Clark, of this place. Mrs. Laura Hinkle, who recently sold her home here, has moved to Reisters-town. Mrs. Hanna Regler, who has been confined to her bed for several years, died Sunday. Her funeral was held at SL. Paul a| Lutheran Church at Arcadia, on Wednesday morning. Rev. Sinclair of Fowblesburg, had charge of the services, assisted by Rev. Derr, of Hamp-stead. She is survived by one brother and one sister. Mrs. Raymond Bossom spent Tuesday in Trenton, where she attended the funeral of Jessie Cullison. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Bossom have moved in their new home. Sunday school at Boring this Sunday at 10 o clock; preaching- at 11 o'clock. SUNNYBROOK. Miss Helen Owens, of Hamilton, is visiting her sister, Mrs. John Piersol Mr and Mrs. John Pierspl and daughter, Helen, spent Sunday with Mr. Piersol's mother, Mrs. Etta Piersol Misses Mary Smith and Bessie Howard, of Warren, spent Sunday with, Mr. and Mrs. Joshua King. Mr. and Mrs. Levi Palmer and daughter, Virginia, of Baltimore, visited relatives in this community on last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith spent Sunday with relatives at Sweet Air. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Miller had as their guests last Sunday, Miss Cassie Ady. Frank Kearney and Miss Reier, all of Hydes. The Ladies' Aid Society of Fair View Church met at the home of Mrs. Etta Piersol on last Tuesday night. ----------o---------- UPPERCO. Sunday sjchool this Sunday at Trenton Lutheran Church at the usual hour. Miss Hilda Hampt is spending 'a few days with her mother, Mrs. Alberta Hampt, at Rosewood, Owings Mills. Miss Ray Armacost has returned to Baltimore, after spending some time with her sister, Mrs. Frank Alban. Mr. Jesise Cullison, of Trenton, died early Sunday morning of consumption. He was buried on Tuesday afternoon at Grace M. E. Church. The Sunday school of St Paul's Lutheran Church will hold an Easter entertainment on Easter Monday night. Mrs. Buhrman Martin and daughter, Eva, spent Wednesday with Mrs. Harry W. Armacost and family. -------------O------------- RASPEBURG. The funeral of Mrs. Frederick Las-sahn took place on Sunday afternoon at St. James' Lutheran Church, Overlea. Rev. R. H. Roehme had charge of the services. Mrs. Lassahn was 65 years old. and had been sick several months. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Frederick Lassahn, and three daughters and three sons. Six nephews served as pallbearers. On Tuesday, March 30, the Degree staff of Garden Rebekah Lodge, No. 33, under the direction of the Captain, Mrs. Anna Grace, will pay a visit to Queen William Lodge at Darlington, Harford county, where they will confer the degrees on a class of candidates. The beautiful weather of the past week has caused much gladness among the people after the long, tedious winter. Spring time will be most welcome. ----------o---------- BUTLER. We are glad to say that the folks who have been sick are able to be out again. Mr. and Mrs. Harry S. Cole and daughter spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Redier, of Govans. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Ensor spent Sunday with Mrs. Ensor's aunt, Mrs. Georg^ Fowble, of Harford county, who is very ill. Mrs. Mary Smith, of Cockeysville, is spending some time with Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Turnbaugh. Miss Margaret Harrison is visiting her cousin, Miss Katherine McElroy, of Baltimore. iMss Ella Merryman is spending a few days with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Merryman, of Hamilton. A delegation of about 50 in number from the Fifth and Seventh districts went to Annapolis) last Thursday to seek Federal aid on the Hampstead ana Hereford road. Messrs. Lewis. Miss Mabel Richardston and Mrs. Ella Lee, of Harrisonville, are reported on the sick list. Mrs. Jay Melambert and daughters. of Baltimore, and Miss Margie Ruff, of Randallstown, were the week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Harker, of Holbrook.
