We are glad to see the mud drying up and signs of spring time is again with us. Miss Verona Wells is under treatment at the Franklin Square Hospital, Baltimore. Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Miller gave a dinner Sunday in honor of Miss Rebecca Miller and Mr. John Cooper, who were married Tuesday of this week at the home of the bride's brother, Mr. Harvey Miller, of Parkton. Misses Goldie and Hazel Thompson spent Sunday with Miss May and Helen Miller. Miss Corentha Wilhelm recently entertained Mrs. Nellie Hale, Miss Helen Lawrence and Miss Nellie Rosier. The stork visited the home of Mr. and Mm George Peregoy and left a fine boy. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Wells visited the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Armacost, of Trenton. Mrs. Flora Baker and Miss Addie Zouck visited at the home of Mrs. Silas Peregoy on Wednesday. FORK. Spring :(eeras to. have arrived \in earnest at last and farmers are beginning to prepare the soil for the crops. The revival services which had to be postponed on account of bad weather and sickness, will be held at Fork M. E. Church beginning Sunday evening, March 28, at 7.3 0 o'clock. Everybody welcome. Well, all arrangements have been made for the Darlington Minstrels to be at Jr. O. U. A. M. Hall on Saturday evening, April 10. No doubt the weather will be more favorable and roads in better condition by that time. Lent will be over and everybody can enjoy a pleasant evening. ----------o---------- WOODLAWN. ROCK CHAPEL. Miss Ethel Whitcraft, of New Freedom, Pa., spent Sunday at the home of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Whitcraft. Mr. Victor Wantland, of York, Pa., spent Saturday and Sunday at the home of his mother, Mrs. Bell Wantland. Mrs. John Peregoy spent last week in Towson as the guest of her brothers. Mr. W. H. Whitcraft has sold his house and lot in New Market to Mr. John W. Gonser. Mr. J. R. Eaton and daughter, Goldie, of Tolna, Pa., were callers in our town during the week. ----------o----------. TEXAS. Brittingham spent last' Wednesday at the home of Mr. Christian Sauter. Mr. and Mrs. Garfield Herrera spent' last Sunday atfernoon with Mr. and Mrs. William Reinhold. Mr. Samuel Selters moved his saw mill to the farm of Mrs. A. Meekina. Mr. and Mrs!. John P. Chilcoat have announced the engagement of their daughter. Miss Myrtle L. Chilcoat, to Mr. William B. Parks, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Linwood Parks, of Cockeysville. The funeral of Mr. Landner Dorin, who died Saturday last, took place at Ashland Presbyterian Church on Monday, March 22. Quite an excitement was caused' at the home of Mr. Frank E. Anderson last Sunday, when the chimney caught fire. Thp Cockeysville Fire Engine was called and the flames were soon extinguished. A very quiet wedding was solemnized at the home of Mrs. J. H. McAlister when Miss Nellie Vaughn became the bride of Mr. Charles A. Wogel, of Mead-ville. They left on Saturday for their future home. Miss Bertie E. McAlister left Wednesday for Atlantic City t6 visit her sister, Mrs. Christine Dawson. Mr. Gise is certainly going to have some fine store on the corner of Westminster Pike. Mr. Mike Davis, of New Jersey, is visiting the home of Miste Mary McAlister. Mrs. J. H. McAlister is still very sick. GLYNDOIV. The Men's Club of Glyndon and Reis-terstown, Rev. Paul W. Quay, president, met on Thursday evening at the Franklin High School. Dr. and Mrs. Louis Lehr, of the Wor-thington Valley, are spending several weeks at Atlantic City. Miss E. G. Ewing, of Baltimore, has been visiting in Glyndon this week. The Patrons' Club of the Franklin High School, Mrs. A. L. Heise, president, et on Thursday evening at the school. CHASE. The Ladies' Aid Society held it's regular monthly meeting at the home of Mrs. N. Lay, with a good attendance. After the business session refreshments were served. Mr. Clarence Earle paid a visit to his father here last week. Ensign Earle was on his way to Hampton Roads, Va., where he has been transferred from the Naval Air Station at Akron, Ohio. It is rumored that Messrs. Nevitt Edwards and William Robinson will purchase the old Chase store property from Mr. Samuel Budlow in the near future. Mr. Roy Earle has been teaching at Bengies school,- as substitute for Mrs. Roy Knox, who fras been in Plainfleld, N. J., attending the funeral ofv her mother. -----------O-----------• RAYVILLE. e Mr. Aubrey Slade, of Baltimore, spent several days with Mr. and Mrs. William T. Tracey last week. Preaching services this Sunday night at Pine Grove U. B. Church by the pastor, Rev. J. H. Lehman. Mr. Lawrence F.
