Kone, of Baltimore, spent last Sunday with nig cousins, Messrs. Frank Lu and Harry B. Rewe. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Durham and family, of Western Run, were g-uests on last Sunday of Mrs. Laura Boggs. Miss Bsta Simpson has returned home after spending a week with her aunt at Wesjt Liberty. Mrs. Elizabeth Wright and grandson, Deane Kone, of Baltimore, were the guests of Mrs. Laura Boggs on last Sunday. Miss Rosalie Owens spent last Sunday at the the home of her aunt, Mrs. Prank Madary, of Dulaneys Valley. Miss Ella Pishpaw. of Towson, spent a. few days the past week with her grandmother, Miss Sallie Fishpaw, who has been quite ill. Mr. John Fishpaw, who has been quite sick, is now able to be out again. Mr. S. S. Crowther, Sr., who was paralyzed the past week, is improving. Mrs. Crosse of Waverly, spent last Wednesday with her mother, Mrs. Mary Jones. The principal of Timonium school has been ill a few days the past week, and the scholars of the higher grades, have had a short holiday. Mrs. Shadrach Ensor has been quite sick the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Will Leeper, of Newton, Iowa, were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Pritchett on last Tuesday and Wednesday. They having spent the past winter in Tampa, Fla., and were on their way home to the west, stopping enroute to visit friends and relatives in different cities. The fine weather the past week has caused our farmers to hustle up with their spring plowing. Flittings are the order of the day, and the weather this week, has been most opportune. Mr. Eli S. Boyer purchased the house and six acre lot of Mr. Jamesi S. Zimmerman for $800. Mr. John R. Keys lost a 'valuable horse on Monday, by being kicked by another horse and getting its leg broken. '"ur tomato growers have organized - n ¦• decided that if the price is not i.i-.-.ed above last year's price they will abandon the enterprise. Grain is looking well in this section, and the grass; is putting on its carpet •ot green. Tehre is still some of last year's ¦crops of corn in the fields, much to the •delight of the squirrels and crows. Everybody is invited to the Grange festival to be held in William's Hall ¦on Saturday night. Mrs. J. E. Shaver and sons, Kenneth and John, .^pent the first of the week in the Monumental city, visiting the former's parents. Mr. and Mrs. D. T. Robinson were visiting relatives out of town the first of the week. Our folks are all glad to see Mr., J. W. Gemmill. one of our citizens, appointed superintendent of the county roads of the Fifth, Sixth and Seventh districts. -----------0----------- BUTLER. Mr. John Wilhelm, who sold his home to Mr. Elisha Wilhelm, has moved to Davisville. Miss Nellie Fowble has returned home after spending a week with Miss Katherine McElroy. of Baltimore. Mr. and Mrs. John Bruhel, Mr, Arthur and Miss Sallie Bruhel spent Saturday and Sunday with their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Gray and son -spent Sunday with relatives in Glyndon. Mrs. Shefles. of Govans, spent last "Friday with her mother. Miss Mildred Clark, of Soarks spent a few dnvs with Misses Eulalia and Dorothy Cole last week.
