SUPPLEMENT THE JEFFERSONIAN, TOWSON, MARYLAND. July 3, 1920—Page 3 LOCAL CORRESPONDENCE PARKTON. Sunday School tomorrow morning at the M. P. Church at 9.30 o'clock. Everybody Welcome. Don't forget the strawberry and ice cream festival to be held tonight on the M. E. Church lawn. Quite a few folks from here attended the strawberry festival held on last Saturday evening at Wiseburg, which was a success. A picnic and shooting match will be held on the railroad shooting grounds on Monday. A large crowd is expected. Meals to be sjerved on the grounds. Mrs. Edward Hawkins is spending a few days with her daughter and son-in-law at Corbett, the latter being ill. Mrs. C. C. Long and son, Edward, of .Baltimore, spent several days last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Keelen. Mr-, and Mrs. G. Day, Miss Florence Bull and Mr. Clinton Kearney motored to Warren on Sunday, where they visited relatives. Mrs. Ellen Heffner had the misfortune to have a door blow down on her during a. storm last week. She was slightly cut by the glass panel which was broken. Mrs. Rankin Matthews visited her daughter and son-in-law, of Baltimore, last v,e'ek. JACKSONVILLE. There will be services at the Reformed Church Sunday at 3 P. M. by Rev. J. N. Hauser. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Daub, of Go-vans, spent the week-end with the former's parents. __ Mrs. Conrad Zinkhan and children, of Phoenix, spent Sunday in this vicinity with relatives. Mrs. Annie Fielding, of Baltimore, who spent some time in this vicinity, has returned to her home. A surprise party was given Mr. and Airs. Louis Hannibal on last Saturday evening which was well attended by both young and old friends and quite an enjoyable evening was spent by all. Refreshments were served at a late hour. Farmers are engaged in getting, their hay up and getting ready to harvest wheat. Air. and Mrs. "William Pibber, of Towson, were the guests of their daughter on Thursday: Miss Alary Trapp entertained a number of friends on Sunday. Messrs. Howard and Joseph Zinkhan spent Sunday with their aunt, Mrs. Al. C. Zinkhan. LEGAL, NOTICES UPPER FALLS. • - Aliss It nth Guyton, daughter of Airs. The couple will reside at Overlea. Air. Charles Dyer, of California, is visiting friends here. Mr. Dyer came here to visit his sister, Miss Jennie Dyer, who is ill at the home of her aunt, Aliss Carrie Crossmore. Air. Washington Piatt, a student at t-he Columbia University, New York, is spending his vacation with his parents. Dr. and Mrs. Walter Piatt, at Arcadia, their summer home here. There will be festival and Fourth of July celebration held, at the home of Mr. Edward Reynolds, Sherwood Forest, for the benefit of the Sunday School of . St., John's P. E.. Church, Kingsville,. this (Satturday) afternoon and evening. All are invited. Rev. Mr.. John Larmour is taking a couple week's rest-cure at the Church Home and Infirmary. Sunday School at the Trenton Lutheran Church tomorrow morning at the usual hour. Air. John H. Armacost died at his home after an illness of about two we.ks. Funeral services we're held in St. Paul's? Lutheran Church, Rev. S. J. Derr officiating, assisted by Rev. John A. Howe. Burial was in cemetery adjoining the church. The Ladies' Aid Society of Trenton met at the home of Mrs. Thomas Nay-lor on Wednesday evening'. Quite a large crowd attended and all spent an enjoyable evening. Refreshments were served. Ali-s. Quail and wife, of Harriatourg, are spending the Fourth in this vicinity. WARREN. Prayer Meeting was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. H. Fox on Tuesday night. Tht Warren baseball team met its first defeat at Waverly on last Saturday. Loose playing was the cause. The team will play three games on the Fourth, Warren vs. Waverly and Warren vs. the Admiral A. C, a double header. The annual picnic will be held at Warren on the Fourth. Mrsi Bowers was the week-end guest of her sister, Mrs. Geo. Smith, of this pace.
