Mrs. Mary Meisner had as her guests on last rSunday her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs'} Harry Hurline and daughter, Elizabeth, of Sweet Air; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Smith and son, Walter, Jr. Miss" Anna Miller has returned home after spending some time with her grandmother, Mrs. Anna Ady, of Hyde. Mr. Abbott and Miss Edith Younger of Baltimore, spent Sunday with Mrs. George Wheeler. Misses Clara and Mary Smith, of Warren, sjpent the week end visiting relatives and friends in this vicinity. Mrs. Charles Wheeler and children, of Overlea, are visiting their aunt, Mrs. Joshua King. Miss Edith Gunther, of Baltimore, is spending some time with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Gunther. PLEASANT GROVE. Quite a number of our farmers went together tn help Mr. Dorsey Brooks to cut logs for a new barn and drag logs in several days the past week. Mr. Brooks' barn was destroyed by fire in an electric storm with all its contents. Mrs. Eizabeth Bohn visited at the home of her brother, Mr, Daniel Myers, on Sunday. Mrs. Tillie Gill visited Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Pitts and family on Sunday. Mr. Frank Brown and daughter, Miss Grace, were in Towson one day this week. Mr, Ebenezer Rhoten, of Baltimore, visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Rhoten on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Preston Gill and children were visitors at the home of the latter's father, Mr. Daniel Myers, on Sunday. Others who were visitors at the same time were Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Myers, of Hagerstown; Mrs. L. Gill and daughter, Missi Ruth, BECKLEYSVIfcLE. Master Garfield Baublitz had the misfortune of cutting one his fingers off and badly cutting another while feeding a fodder cutter. Mrs. Harry Ensor is on the sick list. Mrs. G. W. Peregoy is spending a week with her daughter, Mrs. William Rosier, of Wisieburg. The Beckleysville Band will furnish music at Salem picnic today. Mr. and Mrs. D. H .Shoemaker and Miss .Lottie Bowen, of Baltimore, are visiting the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Bowen. Mrs. Stine and daughters have returned home after spending a week in Batimoro. The little son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Tracey is improving after a week's illness. Mr. William Wisner and family visited Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Gardner, of Gwynnbrook, on Sunday.
