WHITE HALL.
At the quarterly meeting of the Grand Lodge of Maryland, Knights of the Golden Eagle, the following eight Past Chiefs were given the Grand Lodge degree last Saurday afternoon in the hall of Parkton Castle: James N. Frederick, Charles E. Plowman N. S. -Tracey, Emory A. Borneman, Benjamin F. Talbott, Thomas C. Hunter, Chester H. McCullough, Walter J. Burns. W. Evans Anderson, who was made a Past Grand Chief at the last session of the Grand Lodge at Hagersh town, in reecognition of his services as Grand Keeper of Exchequer for five years and who declined a re-election, and who was also elected as one of the representatives to the Supreme Lodge which met in October at Erie, Pa., was presented a Past Grand Chief's badge, and jewel. The presentation address was made by Past Supreme Chief Don F. Billmyer, and now Grand Master of Records. After the close of the session of the Grand Lodge the visiting members were entertained at a luncheon by Parkton Castle. A special session of the local lodge was held in the evening and the three degrees were conferred upon a candidate by the degree team from Govane Lodge. The visitors included members from Baltimore City, Baltimore, Harford and Cecil counties.

Mrs. C. M. Hoshall entertained the White Hall Book Club on Monday afternoon.
Special, services1 were held in Bethel Presbyterian Church each evening this week. The sermons were by neighboring ministers.
