Mention The Jeffersonian Last Wednesday afternoon a fire destroyer several outbuildings at Bowley's Quarters, which was once headquarters for a famous ducking club and is" now run as a summer hotel and restaurant. The fire, according to Mr. Quinn, the proprietor of the hotel, started in one of the* outbuildings used as an oil and gasoline shed and quickly spread to the garage, and only for the prompt response of the Essex Fire Department and the bucket brigade of the neighbors the entire property would have burned. Coe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Turner P. Coe, of Catonsville, to Kobert C Duvall of Baltimore, has been announced. The wedding will take place shortly. SUITS AGGREGATING $15,000 FILED AT COUNTY SEAT. Suits for damages aggregating $15,000 were filed in the Circuit Court at Towson against Martin Gardner, of Lutherville. In one suit James Maxwell Toy, a minor, claims $10,000 for personal injuries alleged to have been sustained by him on August 15 last when he claims to have been struck and knocked down by the defendant's automobile truck while riding a bicycle along the Falls road, near Belvedere Avenue. In the other suit Richard J. Toy, father of the boy, claims $5,000 damages for loss of his son's services and expenses incurred in treating his injuries. CONDUCT ANNUAL PILGRIMAGE. The eleventh annual pilgrimage to the memorial grove of the Jewish Home for Consumptives was held on Sunday last. Addresses at the Mount Pleasant Sanatorium, Westminster pike, near Reisters-town, were made by Martin J. Kohn, president of the home, and Dr. J. H. Mason Knox, Jr., chief of the Maryland Bureau of Child Hygiene. The services were in charge of the Rev. William Roceman, while the Rev. Adolph J. Weisgal directed the musical program. The committee in charge of the pilgrimage consisted of Lewis Ros-enburg, Leonard Weinberg, S. Neu-berger and Mr. Kohn. COCKEYSVILLE HAS POLICE SUB-STATION. A police sub-station has been opened at Cockeysville, it being located on the York Road just north of the railroad tracks. COUNTY SUNDAY SCHOOL CONVENTION OCTOBER 2ND. BOY BADLY INJURED WHEN WELL CAVES IN. While helping his father to clean a well at Carney, the eldest son of John C.
