PAXES AND LEGAJL NOTICES.
OFFICE OF THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BALTIMORE COUNTY.
Towson, Md., Nov. 28, 1924. We, the County Commissioners of Baltimore County having met as required- by Law for the purpose of making the annual levy for the ensuing fiscal year beginning January 1st, ending December 31st, 1925, and providing for all expenses and disbursements of said County for said period, d0 now order and publish as follows:
1st We do hereby levy and impose an assessment or tax of 27 and 12-35 cents on every $100 worth of assessable property in Baltimore County as a State Tax, being $299,092.46 upon a basis of $109,385,957.
2nd. We do hereby levy and impose an assessment or tax of $1.64 on every $100 worth of assessable property in Baltimore County *as a County tax, being $1,964,809 upon the following classes of property, viz: Real, fixed personal and missed property, and stock of Maryland Corporations (except Bank and Trust Company Stocks) being $1,964,809 on fa total basis o $119,805,470 and a tax of 1 per cent upon the assessed aluation of the shares of all Bank and Trust Company Stock taxable in Baltimore County, being $40,000 on a total estimated basis of $4,000,000.
3rd. We do hereby levy and impose an assessment or tax of 15 cents on every $100 as a State Tax upon all bonds, certificates of indebtedness or evidences of debt in whatsoever form, issued by any State, or other than the State of Maryland or made or issued by any public or private corporation, incorporated by any such State or in any foreign Country and owned by residents of Baltimore County, including as such owners any resident of said County who has an equitable interest in such property with the legal title to the same in some other, or corporation who is a resident of some county in this State, or who is a resient of the City of Baltimore, said tax of 15 cents on the $100 amounting to $53,663.69 upon a basis of $35,775,795.
4th. We do hereby levy and impose an assessment or tax of 30 cents on every $100 as a County tax upon all bonds, certificates of indebtedness or evidences of debt in whatsoever form issued by any State, or other than the State of Maryland, or made or issued by any public or private corporation, incorporated by any such State or any foreign Country and owned by residents of Baltimore County, including as such owners, any resident of said County who has an equitable interest in such property with the legal title to the same in other, or corporation who is a resident of some County of this State, or who is a resident of the City of Baltimore, said tax of 30 cents on the $100, amounting to $107,327.38 upon a basis of $35,775,795.
5th. We do hereby levy and impose an additional assessment or Special Tax at the rate of twenty (20) cents on every $100 worth of assessable property within the limits of the village of Lutherville in Baltimore County, as described in Chapter 144, Acts 1920, for the purpose set forth in said Act.
6th. We do hereby levy and impose an additional assessment or Special Tax at the rate of ten (10) cents on every $100 worth of assessable property within the limits of the village «of Towfon, in Baltimore County, as dscribed in Chapter 861 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January session of 1914, for the purposes set forth in said Act.
7th. We do hereby further levy and impose an additional assessment or Special Tax at the rate of Twenty (20) cents on every $100 worth of assessable property within the limits of the village of Lansdowne and Joshua as described in Chapter 557 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland passed at the January session of 1908 for the purposes set forth in said Act.
8th. We do hereby further levy and impose an additional assessment or Special Tax at the rate of Twenty (20) cents on every $100 worth of assessable property within the limits of the .villaga of Relay, in Baltimore County, as described in Chapter 215 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland passed at the January session of 1910 for the purposes set forth in said Act.
9th. We do further levy and impose an additional assessment or Special Tax at the rate of twenty (20) cents on every $100 worth of assessable property within the limits of the village of Monumental in Baltimore County, as described in Chapter 443 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland passed at the January session of 1924 for the purposes set forth in said Act.
10th. We do hereby further levy and impose an additional assessment or Special Tax, for the purpose of paying the interest on the Towson Sewerage Certificates of Indebtedness, a tax of 20 cents on each $100 of assessable property benefitted by said sewerage system, said tax being levied for the year beginning January 1, 1925 and ending December 31. 1925, said tax to be a lien on the property of the person assessed and to be collected as County taxes are now collected by law.
llth. We do hereby appropriate the following amounts for the purposes of paying the expense of Baltimore County for the ensuing fiscal year ending December 31st, 1925.

IN THE CIRCUIT COURT FOR BALTIMORE COUNTY IN EQUITY.
The object of this suit is to procure a divorce "a vinculo matrimonii" by the plaintiff Sophie Bell, from the defendant, Hamilton S. Bell;
The bill recites that the parties were married in Baltimore County, Maryland, on April 10th, 1909; that the parties lived together in various places in Baltimore County and Baltimore City until the 8th day of March, 1923; that the plaintiff has been a resident of the State of Maryland for more than two years prior to the filing of this Bill of Complaint, while the whereabouts of the defendant are unknown to this plaintiff, and have been unknown for some time past; that the conduct of the plaintiff towards her husband has been affectionate, chaste and above reproach; that during the month of April, 1924, and at divers times between that date and the date of the filing of this Bill of Complaint, the defendant, Hamilton S. Bell committed the crime of adultery with a woman whose name will be hereafter disclosed to the Court, and that the plaintiff has not lived or co-habited with the Defendant since the discovery of his adulteries.
It is thereupon ordered, by the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, in Equity, this 18th day of November, 1924, that the plaintiff by causing a copy of this order to be inserted in some newspaper published in Baltimore County, once a week for four successive weeks before the 22nd day of December, 1924, give notice to the said defendant, Hamilton S. Bell, of the object and substance of this suit, and warn him to be and appear in this Court either in person or by solicitor, On or before the 7th day of January,

IN THE CIRCUIT COURT FOR BALTIMORE COUNTY IN EQUITY.
The object of this suit is to obtain a divorce a Vinculo Matrimonii by the plaintiff, Lizzie V. Shipley from Warren L. Shipley, the defendant.
The bill recites that the parties were married November 15th, 1893, at Baltimore, State of Maryland, anŁl that three children were born of said marriage and whom are all of legal age; that the plaintiff has been a resident of the State of Maryland for more than two years prior to the filing of the bill; that ever since said marriage the plaintiff has behaved herself as a kind, chaste and affectionate wife towards the said defendant; that the defendant on or about the 15th day of February, 1913, without any just cause or reason abandoned and deserted the plaintiff; that said abandonment has continued uninterrupted for more than three years prior to the filing of the bill, Is deliberate and final and the separation of the parties is beyond any reasonable hope or expectation of reconciliation. That the defendant is a nonresident and his last place of residence was in Pennsylvania.
It is thereupon ordered by the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, in Equity, this 26th day of November, 1924, that the plaintiff, by causing a copy of this order tq be inserted in some newspaper published in Baltimore County, once a week for four successive weeks before the 29th day of December, 1924, give notice to the said absent defendant, Warren L.
