A resolution advocating the issuing of $1,500,000 of additional bonds to provide for the erection of new school buildings in Baltimore rcounty was unanimously adopted at a mass-meeting at the Court House, Towson. The resolution also recommends that the County Commissioners be given authority to borrow at once $500,000 against that amount of un- 1H I ¦ IHHBEIP DURANT and STAR | CARS : COURT GARAGE, Towson, Md. These bonds are authorized to be issued at the rate of $250,000 each year for four years and the amounts for 1925 and 1926 remain available. It was stated that, by the course suggested, $2,000,00 would become available for new schools. George M. Kimberly, president of the Catonsville Improvement Association, presided at the meeting, which was held under the auspices of the Federated Parent-Teacher Association of the schools in the county. The chairman was directed to appoint a committee to confer with the Baltimore county delegation to the Legislature and urge that legislation be enacted providing for the issuing of the bonds without a referendum to the voters of the county. Samuel M. Shoemaker, president of the School Board, attended the meetin gand stated that it is absolutely impossible to erect buildings necessary to provide education for the children of the county with present available funds. Mr. Shoemaker read a list of new buildings which will be erected if the additional loan is secured. Included are new high school buildings at Towson and Catonsville, each to cost $240,000, and $110,000 buildings at Essex, Cockeysville, Parkville and smaller buildings at various other places. ----------o---------- TOWSON TOWN CLUB TO HOLD MEETING MONDAY.
