| MAN WHO OFFERED $100,000 FOR BEST PEACE PLAN.—Edward W. Bok broadcasting the prize-winning plan number, 1469, from the American Telegraph and Telephone station .WEAF to the public. The name of the winner will be kept secret pending a nation wide referendum. Fifty thousand dollars will be paid to him immediately and the balance when the vote is completed. The plan has aroused great interest as well as bitter controversy. International FIRST PHOTOGRAPH OF HIGHEST POINT IN THE UNITED STATES.—Peak of Mt. Whitney, 14,898 feet high, which was photographed recently from airplanes flying at a height of 15,500 feet, at which point the temperature was 10 degrees below zero. The daring cameraman traveled from Los Angeles, 600 miles', to take the picture. International PRESIDENT COOLIDGE ENTERTAINS CENTENARIAN.— Kupper Bier, a Hoboken (N. J.) patriarch, celebrated his 104th birthday recently by journeying to Washington and paying his respects to President Coolidge. Incidentally he told the President that he controlled through children, grandchildren and other relatives 143 votes, all of which would be cast solidly for Mr. Coolidge. International TO LOOK AFTER WELFARE OF PRISONERS.—Mr. B. Ogden Chisolm, recently appointed by President Coolidge to the honorary post of International Prison Commissioner. He is an expert in penology and is a firm believer in the possible redemption of those now within prison walls. BIG PRICE FOR PASSION PLAY STOVE.— Anton Lang, who plays the part of Christ in the Oberammergau Passion play, standing beside a beautiful pottery stove of his creation that tells a Bible story in colored tile and which was recently bought by a New York business concern for $1,500.
