Automobile curtains to be fitted on cars in the same manner that a window shade is placed in the home will be thrown on the accessory market from Baltimore within a short time, according to an announcement made by two local inventors. The idea was conceived by R. R. Meeks, 1602 Gorsuch avenufe, Baltimore, and Howard L. DeBaugh, Hill Top, Towson. These men obtained basic patents on their invention and now are making plans for quantity production. A demonstration of the curtains last week showed they could be pulled down, fastened and clamped together while an ordinary set of curtains were being taken from under the seat of the machine. The arrangement is three shades on each side of the car. Soft strips, with their transparent panels, can be pulled down without alighting from the car. According to the inventors, a strong spring in the curtain roll keeps the strips taut in place, even in a very strong wind.
