Under the law passed at the last session of the Legislature every person, co-partnership or corporation, who was prior to April 9th, 1924, and is still engaging- in the undertaking business in the State of Maryland must register with the State Board of Undertakers of Maryland between June 1st and July 30th, 1924, and pay a license fee of five dollars ($5.00). Failure to do so will require you to take an examination before the State Board of Undertakers in order to continue in business after July 30th, 1924. Every person who prior to April 9th, 1924, and who still embalms dead human bodies in. the State of Maryland must register with the State Board of Undertakers of Maryland between June 1st and July 30th, 1924, and pay a license fee of five dollars ($5.00) Failure to do so will require you to take an examination before the State Board of Undertakers in order to continue in business after July 30th,1924. Separate registration is required for the undertaking business and the profession of embalming. The license for the undertaking business must be renewed annually, but the license to practice as an embalmer does not have to be renewed. Application forms for registraation to carry on the undertaking- business, aand also to practice as an embalmer will be ready for distribution on or before June 1st, 1924, and can be obtained upon application to the undersigned Secretary.
