SAMUEL M. RITTER DIES AT PENNSYLVANIA HOME. The Patron's Club of Fork Public School will hold a strawberry festival this evening (Saturday). ----------o---------- STOLEN AUTO FOUND. An automobile stolen from the garage of E. N. Grim, on Wade avenue, Catonsville, was found abandoned in Baltimore City. ——-—o---------- SERVICES FOR J. I. KELLEY HELD AT ST. AGNES' CHURCH. Samuel M. Ritter, sixty-nine, a native of the Second district of Baltimore county, died at his home at Concordville, Pa., according to word received here. Mr. Ritter was the son of the late Mr .and Mrs. George W. Ritter. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rose Ritter; two daughters, Mrs. Elmer Spaats and Miss Jennie Ritter; a son, Howard, and four grandchildren, all of Pennsylvania. He also leaves a brother, Millard F. Ritter, and a brother -in-law, J. Isaac Hol-brook, Sr., of Harrisonville. MRS. ANNA PAULINE ZULAFF BURIED. The funeral of John I. Kelley, fifty-eight, who died suddenly at his home at Hillsdale, took place from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Sidney Kinsley, 4018 Massachusetts avenue, Irvington. A requiem mass was celebrated at St. Agnes' Catholic Church, near Catonsville, by the Rev. Ignatius Fealy, pastor. Burial was in Loudon Park Cemetery. Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Fauline Zulaff, fifty, wife of Joseph Zulaff, who died at her home on North Point road, south of Eastern avenue, were held, burial being in Oaklawn Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Burke of Alesia, Carroll county, entertained a number of younng people from Sparrows Point recently in honor of their house guest, Miss Evelyn Beatrice Mortorff, of York, Pa. RECEIVER APPOINTED FOR SPARROWS POINT CO. Charles F. Cooley was appointed receiver for the Sparrows Point Ice Coal and Lumber Company. A bond of $7500 was given. The plaintiff, Charles F. Cooley, alleged the company owes him $273.16. He was appointed receiver with the consent of the other creditors. Edouard Harrington, organizer of the concern, recenty was found guilty of false pretenses. He was paroled. DIPHTHERIA DEATH RATE LOWER HERE. Baltimore county's death rate from diphtheria is lower thanl ast year according to Dr. Josiah Bowen, County Health Officer. YORK WOMAN GUEST OF SPAR-ROWS POINT FOLKS. The Misses Mary and Alice Whal-en of Sparrows Point, have had as their guest Miss Beatrice Mortorff, of York, Pa. DUNDALK WOMAN HOME FROM HOSPITAL. Miss Dorothy Sellers, of Dundalk, who has been a patient at a Baltimore City Hospital, where she underwent an operation, is now at her home. Postal employees in Baltimore county will be effected by an order issued by Harry S. New, Postmaster-General, which authorizes the granting of Saturday half holiday to postal workers throughout the country from June 14 to September 13. Regulations heretofore have prevented postmasters from allowing employees any interval off duty on Saturdays during the warm weather. The Postmaster-General believes that the new move will result in no curtailment of the postal service and will be of no cost to the government.
