January 12. ______eo 12t Mills for Sale. T?OiE highly reputed and valuable Mills, Buttermilk Falls, with thirty acres of land, Ituated on the Banks of Hudson river, state of New-York, and about sixty miles from the city. This property comprehends two Grist Mills, with five run of stones on the most modern and approved principle, together with a complete set of machinery, such as elevators for wheat and flour, conveyors, hop- per-bags and kreens, agreeably to the latest imnrovements of Evans's system. The Bolt- iilg Cloths are new, and the whole in excellent repair. Also, a Saw-Mill anil two Dwelling- HMaes, commanding a beautiful and romantic view of the Hudson and West-Point; a Coo- iers'-Shop and Dwelling, together with other 'out-houses and conveniences necessary to ren- d-r the establishment complete. Likewise, a full rf about thirty feet high, unoccupied, im- niedately above the present mills, extremely well calculated for a Paper-Mill, or any other factory, without in the least interfering with the other mills. The advantages attending this property are numerous, and of a nature ¦which rarely characterize singular establish- ments. Situated in the vicinity of so import- ant a market as New-York, and on so respect- able a navigation as Hudson river, the only route for Die produce of the Northern and Western World, a facility of purchasing the wheat at the mill, and of sending the produce to market, is here experienced to an extent which no other situation can boast of. From 40 to 50,000 bushels of wheat has been manu- factured annually between March and January, and from 60 to 70,000 could with equal •.- ase be ground were the winter season excluded, which of late years has been so mild that the interruption of the navigation has seldom been of long continuance. The security and convenience of a sloop of any burthen lying so contiguous to the mill that the elevators discharge the cargo where- ver the Miller wishes .to deposite it, and the facility of loading the flour on board immedi- ately from the Mill door, so materially dimi- nishes labor and expedites business that one vessel will be found sufficient to serve the fac- tory, and perform more than two ordinarily do in such employ. Also, a Tract of 1D00 acres of Land, situat- ed about 60 chains from t'.ieabove Mills, well covered with timber, on which is an excellent iron mine and through which the Buttermilk- Fall stream passes, affording several situations or erecting of iron works. DOCTOR HAMILTON flatters himself that he is entitled to the confidence of the pub- lic, from his having been in the practice of his profession for above twenty years, the greater part of which time his residence was in LolKlfOO, in the vicinity of St. Bartholomew's hospital, where an intimate connexion with the gentlemen cf the faculty, to wdiese care it was entrusted, afforded him very ample opportuni- ties of making himself acquainted with the progressive improvements which have taken place both in medicine mid in the perform- ance Of SURGICAL OPERATIONS, Ware he not anxious to avoid what might 1 perhaps by some be considered as the boast o- an empiric, he could lay before the public stiff ficient proofs cf his medical character, and o the snrgical operations he has been in the ha- bit of performing, during his residence in this and the neighboring state (Virginia) for the last seven years. Thus much he has been induced to say of himself from a conviction, that a medical man, offering himself to the notice of the public, shoald accompany a claim upon their confi- dence with the grounds upon which he founds his pretensions.
