Known to all whom it does or may concern,
that by an official conimunicatio.o he has re-
ceived from the lnteftdwit General of the Is-
land of Cuba, dated Havana, 3d January,
1807, inclosing Ilia late decree of 24th De-
cember, 1800, he is instructed to notify 111
the most public manner, all merchants and o-
thers interested, that tho' the intendant's for-
mer decree of od, July, 1805, (which require*
the invoices iatO. nianilests of all .goods im-
ported from neutral ports into those of the
island of Cuba, should be duly certilfbd by
the consuls or vice consuls of His Catholic
Majesty) bus not been generally observed s
in order to do away every pretext, and ban:
no room for supposing a relaxation therein

accountably been in some instances dispensed
with : And the said regulations should not
be considered as arbitary, oppressive or novel,
