They do not deem it, necessary, to give a rtetail to the reader of their political opinions ; for whatever political sentiments they may 1 profess, the promulgation of them through a public print, they conceive, could :e lie beneficial effect either to the read- er or to themselves :—they arc anxious for the vu-o' •!¦:<""! the U.States;.,and whilst the sentiments of their hearts are favorable to the Union, their minds shall never be swayed by tlie bicaerings of political demagogues To preserve their paper tree and UBCQntiwnioated from tlie ebullitions of partbans, will be their peculiar study. To miscellaneous producti- ons, and disquisitions on subjects which may be productive of utility, couched in a decent style, free access will be given to their col- umn—but communications injurious to the re. ptnatiou of individuals, will always be re- jected. AS the editors are tliej?rjf who have ven- tured on an establishment of this nature for some time past at Fell's Point, they feel Condons that the fostering aid of, its citizens will be extended towards them with cheer- fulness.-and that their establishment will pot be permitted to dwindle into nothing- from the want of the the patronage of their fellow-citi- zens. Fell's-Point lias now become too po- pulous, too wealthy, and too respectable, to be entirely dependent on tlie town for all the printing which it requires—They are confi- dent that few could be found who would not rather contribute to the support of a paper in the midst of them, dedicated to their in- terest, and offering so many advantages as the present does, than be subject to the in- coimenience of walking near a mile for all printing requisite for their use—Besides tfcte inconveniences which will be removed, the 1.'. ist of supporting- a paper of their own, we are persuaded, would have no inconsiderable weight in the minds of their fellow-citizens of fell's.Point. They consider it as quite unnecessary to dilate upon their own capacities—trial atone will be sufficient to convince their patrons of the correctness or incorrectness of then- pre- tensions. A long and steady application to their business, emboldens them to come for- ward with confidence, pledging themselves to execute whatever ft generous public may be pleased to favor them with, in a stile of workmanship and correctness of judgment, not inferior to any other ofiice in Baltimore.
