ON application to the judges of the said
Countv Court, by petition in writing of John
Cumniing, of said County, praying the bene-
fit of the " Act for die»relief of sundry in.
solvent debtors," passed at November session
eighteen hundred and five, on the terms men-
tioned in said act ; a schedule of his property
and a list of his creditors, on oath, as far as
he can ascertain them, as directed by the
said act, being annexed to his petition ; and
- the said County Court being satisfied by com-
petent testimony, that the said John dimming
Las resided the two preceding years within
the state of Maryland, prior to the passage
of the said act; and the said John dimming
at the time of presenting his petition as a-
foresaid, having produced to the said court,
the assent in writing of so many of his credi-
tors as have due to them the amount of two-
thirds of the dS>t» due by him at the passing
the said act.
It is thereupon adjudged and ordered, by
the said court, that the said John dimming
(by causing a copy of this order to be insert'
ed in some one of the newspapers in the city
of Baltimore, every other day for three jnonthg
before the ninth day of May next) give no-
tice to his creditors to appear before the said
County Court, at the Court-House, in the
said county, at nine o'clock in the forenoon of
the said ninth day of May next, for the pur-
pose of-recommending a trustee for their be-
nefit, on the said John CumnVwig-, then and
there taking the oath by the said Act pre-
scribed for delivering up his property.

en out of the Baltimore and Frederick-Town
Turnpike Road Company's stabls, a dark
chesnut sorrel HORSE, 7 or 8 years old &
about 15 hands high, with a snip and star in
his forehead, walks remarkable wide with his
hind feet. Ten dollars will be given for the
Horse only, and the above reward for Horse
and Thief, and all reasonable charges paid by

THAT agreeably to charter the Stockhold-
ers in the Maryland Insurance. Company, are
called upon to renew their notes in the pre-
sent month.
Likewise, that an election for thirteen di-
rectors will be held at the office of the said
company, on the first Munday in March next.

THE Subscriber (in virtue of a decree of
the honorable the chancellor of Maryland,
made in the cause of Robert Fergusson *. S.
Lucket) will oifcjFi'iday, the 27tn day of Fe-
bruary next, at 12 o'clock, sell at the court-
house of Charles county, in the state of Ma-
ryland, to the highest bidder, all the es'ate
and interest of Samuel Lucket, of the said
county, in and to all those tracts or parcels of
land, King in Durham Parish, and colinty
aforesaid, called Lucket's Slipe, Lucket's
Hazard, Lucket's Addition, and Lucket's
Chance, containing by estimation, four hun-
dred acres ; and in and to another tract or par
eel, lying in the said Parish, called Frog's
Nest, containing about one hundred & twen
ty-five acres.
The terms of sale, prescribed by the de-
cree, are, that the purchaser or purchaser*
pay the purchase money on the day of sale,
or on the day of the ratification thereof, by tlie
chancellor, which, if ratified, shall be just
five weeks from the subscribers^ report of the
said sale—And on obtaining the chancellor's
ratification of the said sale, and on paying the
whole of the purchase money, the subscriber
shall execute a deed to me purchaser or pur-
chasers in fee simple, conveying to him or
them all the right, title, and interest of the
said Samuel Lucket, free and dischared of
all the claim of tlve said Robert Fergusson and
the said Samuel Lucket.
The said lands will be either sold entira, or
divided so as to suit purchasers.

his straw stacks, two BOXES ; one of them
containing parts of six Clocks; and the other
