ON application to the judges of the said County Court, by petition in writing of Jolm Gumming, of satd County, praying the bene fi* of the " Act for the relief of smidrv in- solvent debtors," passed at November session eighteen hundred and live, on the terms men- tioned in said act ; a.schedule of his property and a list of his creditors, on oath, as far as he can ascertain them, »« directed by the said act, being annexed to his petition ; and the said County Court being satisfied by com petent testimony, ttu.t the said John Cummin;', has resided the two preceding years within the state of Maryland, prior to the passage of the said act; and the said John Camming at the time of presenting his petition as a foresaid, having produced to the said court, the assent in writing of so many of his credi- tors as have due to them the amount of two- thirds of the debts due by him at the pausing the said act. it is thereupon adjudged and ordered, by the said court, that the said John dimming (by causing a copy of this order to be insert- ed in, some one of the newspapers in the city of Baltimore, every other day for three months before the ninth day of May next) give no- tice to his creditors to appear before the said County Court, at the Court-House, in the said county, at nine o'clock in the forenoon of the said ninth day of May next, for the pur- pose of recommending a trustee for their be- nefit, on the said John Gumming, then and there taking the oath by the said Aci pre- scribed for delivering up his property. Clerk, February 21, 1807. dlstA-to3dMy For Sale, My MILL in the County of Madison and state of Virginia, on the Rapidam River, a never failing stream, with twenty.five acres of Laud attached to it; the improvements consist of a Mill House, sixty feet by thirty, with three pair of Stones, two of French Burr, and one pair of Cologne Stones to grind corn for tVc; neighborhood, the toll corn may he estimated at two hundred barrels a year, and in dry years, one hundred barrels more ; attached to the mill is a new Saw Mill, that will saw one thousand feet of plank per day, any quantity of timber may be got very conve- nient, and the demand equal to the .quantity that can be sawed ; from the Saw Mill anett profit of eight dollars per day may be made ; the machinery of the mills are in complete order, having all been made new within the last year ; twenty-five thousand bushels of wheat has been manufactured in the above Mill this season, and double that quantity might have been bought, as the above mill is situated in one of ttje richest and best wheat counties in Virginia. The improvements on the above twenty-five acres of Land are, a dwelling House (conve- nient to the mill) with f. ur rooms below, and fire places, a good Garden, Kitchen, Meat House, Dairy, Miller's and Cooper's Hous- es, and a Cooper's Shop, sixty by twenty feet; all tha houses are new and in good order. No situation in Virginia will answer better than this for a Retail Store, and a considerable quantity of goods may be sold, and good payments received.
