To get relief from expensive and perplex-
ing'law-suits, for large sums which have been
fairly and honestly paid, and to avoid the trou-
hie and mortification of disputing claims en-
gendered in fraud and supported by injustice,

The Creditors

tice, that they are now prepared to surrender
all theypossess, and intend applying to the
Baltimore county court, for the benefit of
the act, entitled an act for the relief of sun-
dry insolvent debtors, passed at November
session, 1815 ; and also of the supplement to
said act, passed at the last November sessi-
on.

pike Hand.
THE subscribers being- appointed Commis
sioners hv an act of the legislature, " entit-
led an act to make several Turnpike Roads
through Baltimore county, and for other pur-
poses"—to take subscription for making a
turnpike road from Baltimore towards York
town, to the Pennsylvania line.; do hereby
give notice, that a subscript ion hook for a ca
pital stock of 100,000 dollars, in shares of
2U dollars each, will be opened at Mr. Win
Evan's tavern, in the city of Baltimore, on
the 11th day of May next, from the hour of
10 until 2 o'clock and will continue open due
ing the same hours the two following day_,
unless the capital stock should be earlier sub
scribed. Every person must pay down one
dollar on each share at the time of subscrib-
ing. Not more than 25 shares can be sub-
scribed for on the first day by any one person,
nor More than fiftv on the second day.

- Whereas John Stump, of Harford county, ,
is the proprietor of Lot No. 583, binding on,
and entitled to the prtvijedgas of the wat*r at
! the, west end of the city of Haltiinore, between
Pratt-street and Forrest-street; and whereas
the said John Stump is desirous that the da-
mages he may sustain by lilting up and wharf-
ingout the said lot as required by the act of
assembly, entitled " An act compelling the
[proprietors of lots binding on the water at the
j west end of the bason, in the city of BaUi-
[more, to extend and improve the same," may
¦ be assessed and valued, and also that what
sum each person, who will be benefitted there-
by, shall contribute and pay towards compen
sating the said John Stump for the injury he
shall sustain, according to the provisions of
