This instrument is pi; %- edhke a piano or organ but in such a manner that the ear may be delighted with the most pure and perfect sounds of a grand piano* with or without the accompaniment of the touching tones of the violin or rolling sound* of an organ. The most ingenious artists of England and France have long labored on a discovery of an instrument of this kind, but in the course of their tedious experiments have failed in the attempt, and at last declared this possibility impossible, as an experience of three years, during which time this instrument was accom- plished, proves.
