WHEREAS an information hath been filed,
in the District Court of the United States,
for Maryland District, by John Stephen,
esq. Attorney for the same, against three
Casks Hardware, imported in and on board,
the ship called John Adams, from Liver-
pool, in the Kingdom of Great Britain, for
sale ; winch said Good3 and Wares were
entered in the office of the collector of the
Port of Baltimore, in the District of Bal-
more, in Maryland District, and were
chargeable with dulie.-. and customs, im-
posed by the laws of the United States,
and that vvithdesig'n to evade the said du-
ties, so as aforesaid intpessed and charge-
able, upon said goods, theyvwere not in-
voiced according to the acftfal cost thereof
at the place of exportation, praying a con-
demnation of the same according to law.
And whereas, the honerable James Houston,
judge, of the said court, bath ordered
MONDAY the 20th day of July, next, afc
10 o'clock in the forenoon, of the same day
for holding a court at the Court House, in
the city ot Baltimore, for said triaj sgree-
ablv to the prayer of said Attorney.
