The lad was suspected of being not altogether honest. He says his father lives near M'Connelsburg, Pa. and his mother in Brownsburg, Va. He had on and took with liim, a blue coat, and a mixed coatee, both cloth—two jackets of swansdown—3 pairs of pantaloons, 1 corduroy, 1 nankeen, and ! home- made, with blue stripes—a fur hat—old shoes —and sundry other clothes.
