court of chancery for the county of Washington,

in the District of Columbia, and known by the
name of the UNION TAVERN, now in the
occupancy of William Crawford, and late the
property of Charles M'Laugldin, deceased ;
together with the Lots, Houses, Stables and
improvements belonging to and on which the

Brick House, situate on Bridge-street, near

A Proclamation.
WHEREAS it hath been represented to
me, on oath, that the Saw-Mill of f.imcs Car-
roll, est}, erected for the purpose of cutting
Mahogany, near the city of Baltimore, was,
on the night of Monday, the eighth inst, con
sumed by fire : And whereas it has been also
represented that it is feared this villainy lias
been intentionally perpetrated by some wicked
incendiary or incendiaries : And whereas ap-
plication has been made tome to issue a Pro-
clamation ofe ing a pardon to any person, be-
ing an accomplice, who shall discover his or
her associate or associates ; I have therefore
thought proper, in pursuance of the powers
vested in me by law, to issue this my procla-
mation, thereby offering full and free pardon
to any person, being an accomplice in the
commission of the said crime, who shall dis-
co ver (he perpetrator or perpetrators thereof, so
that they or any of them be brought to justice
Given under my hand andthe seal of the state of
Maryland, this fifteenth day of June, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred

United States the thirtv-first.
