. ' l":t>ER ^LGAZRTTF.. V. -ONE'S!) Vi, JVLYZ9. latest fro a Europe. q'T Tn the many favors for which we are indebted to our attentive friend and cor- respondent at New-York, he. has just added cue, which demands much more than our grateful thanks. "New-Y>rk, July 27. *; This morning arrived the ship Susan, Howard, 40 days from Bordeaux. The ship! Erin, Stevenson, and Ranger, Slier- bourn, of Baltimore, were there; the latter to sail 25th June for Tonningen. Enclos- ed you have the latest papers. " Also arrived, ship Jane, Bragdon, 45 days from Cadiz. No news by her. The editor of the Federal Gazette has re- ceived (via N- York) Bordeaux papers to the 12th June inclusive, containing Paris dates of the sixth, and intelligence from the armies down to the 30th May. We hasten to translate the 77th bulletin, which presents the official account of the fall of Bantzic. No general battle had tak- en place ; nor do these papers contain intel- ligence of any other important movements. The Ann and Elizabeth,, of Norfolk, ¦was at Bordeaux, to sail for Baltimore 85th June. Bordeaux, May 12. POSTSCRIPT. (Courier cf this morning.) SEVENTY-SEVENTH BULLETIN OF THE GRAND MU1Y. FintoevrMn, <29th M y. 1807. Dnnt.zic Ins capitulated. That fine place is in our power. Eight hundred pieces of artilfeny, magnifies of all kinds, more than 500 000 quintals of grain, cloth, groceries, &c. ; all kinds of provisions for the armv, and in fine, a place of the first strength to support our left, as Thorn supports our cen- tre and Prag'our right - those are the advan tape's obtained dating the winter, and which have signalised the leisure hours of the^-rand army—these are the first and finest fruits of the vii.-tory of EyUui. The rigor of the season, the snow which has of! en covered our trenches, and the frost which has added new difficulties, have been 110 obstacles to our labors. Marshal Lefevre has surmounted everything: He has ani- mated with the same spirit Saxons, Poles and Badens. The difficulties .which, the ar- tillery had to encounter were considerable. Q •>-• hundred mouths of five, from five to s'k hundred thousand pounds of powder, and an immense quantity of halls, have fceen shot from Stettin and different parts of Silvia. We would also have had to overcome dif- ficulties of transport, but the Vistula offer- ed a prompt and easy conveyance. The sea- gnord carried the koala under the fort of Grauflehtz with their usual skill_ and bravery. Oen. Cbasseloup, gen. Kintrewer, col. tcooste, and indeed all the officers, have behaved in the most distinguished manner. 'J'hemmers havedisplnyed a Surprising intre- pidity. The corps of artillery, command- ed by pen. Lariboissiere, has maintained its reputation. The second regiment of light in- fantry, the ?2th, and the Parisian troops, have also distinguished themselves. A detailed account of this siege will be carefully given. It will record a great num- ber of fete; of bra/ery, worthy of b'-i:ig held op as examples to excite enthusiasm and admiration. On the 19th the descent and thp passage of the Moat were executed, at 7 o'clock in the evening. On th0 iJ'ist general Lefevre Lad prepared every thing for the assault, when col. Lecoste, who had-been sent into the place in the morning, made known, that g-cneial Kalkreuth offered to capitulate on the same conditions which had been former- ly granted to the garrison of Mayence, which was agreed to. ifekeisberg could have been carried by as- sault without much loss ; but as the co'-ps of the place were still complete, and a large ditch filled with water, \$ould have enabled She besieged to hold out for fifteen days, it was thought best to grant them an honora- ble capitulation. On the 27th, the garrison marched out, •with general Kalkreuth at his head. This strong garrison, which at first consisted of iSOOO men, is reduced to 9000, and of this number 4000 have deserted : there are even officers among the deserters. " We do not wisIV'ssy they, "togotoSilberia." Wehave , obtained many thousand artillery horses, but they are in very bad order. General Rapp has been appointed governor of Dant- zie". * • ¦ The Russian lieutenant-general, Kamen- Ski, after having been beaten on the 15th, retired behind the fortifications of Weischel- mhnde. He remained there, without daring to undertake any thing, and beheld the re- duction of the place.' When he saw that tliey were preparing red hot balls to destroy bis vessels, he embarked, and withdrew.— lie has returned to Pillau. The fort of Weischeimundi still held out ; Marshal Lefevre summoned it on the 0,6th, and while they were adjusting the articles of capitulation, the garrison sallied out and surreedered. The commandant thus aban- doned, saved himself by water. We are iiow therefore masters of the city and port of Dantzic. These.events forebode a happy omen for the campaign. The emperor of FjJussia a, ¦¦¦¦•' king of Prussia were at He- ligertbsel : they must have known the re- ion of Dantzicby the cessation of the which can be heard at the; former The emperor (Napoleon) to testify his satisfaction at the conduct of the be .has granted a compensation to each The siege of Gratsdentz comrm n< the, command of Gen. Victor. EGen. Lazow- sk.i commands' the infantry, and General ¦Danthouaiu the artillery! Grandentz is strtmg rCrivA. of its great quantity of mines.' The cavalry of the army is kwutiful; the divisions of light eayslrj', fwo divisions of j cuirassieurs and one of dragoons, were re- t viewed at Elbiug, on the Qr}ih, by the grand duke of Berg. On the same day, his majesty went to Bischffverder and Stralsburg, and reviewed the division of cuirassieurs, commanded by Huitpault, and the division of dragoons, . com nanded by Gen. Grouchy. His m.-ijrsiy ; was well pleased with their conduct, and the good state of their horses. The ambassador of the Porte, Seid-Mo- ; ha uiied-E nen Vahid, was on the 28th, at | 2 o'cl ck, P. M. introduced bv M. the prince of Henevento, to the emperor, to whom he presented his credentials : He remained an hour in his majesty's cabinet : he lodges in the Castle, and occupies the apartments of ; the grand duke of Berg, now absent at the review. We are assured that the emperor said to ; the am assador, that he and the Sudan Seliin | would henceforward be as inseparable as the j right hand and the left.
