The subscriber on the 11th day of June last, swopped a Horse, with a certain person who called himself James Wilson, who ap- peared to be about 30 years of age, slender made, with only one arm, dressed in a bine coat and nankeen pantaloons. His anj.iety to get rid of the Horse, induced me to suspect he was stolen, of which I mentioned to him, and in consequence of which he abscond- ed, and baa never since relumed ; but lett me in possession of both Horses ; I do there- fore }.;ive this public notice, for the benefit of the owner, aild request that he may come, prove bis horse, pay the charges and take him away. I had thoughts oi having it drawn ; 1 by chance happened in conversation with Mr, Guy, to whom I related my inte tjon He advised me to avoid extracting the tooth, as he presumed he had a specific, and re- quested me to make a trial ; when he men- tioned this to me, I recoiled that I was told by some person that he had cured him of the tooth ache ; I determined to give- it a trial, and made use of his solutio ,, perhaps three or four times, and have not had any return of it About three months since a colored girl of mine was also alft-ieted w.lb the same pain — I sent her to Mr. Guy, who also furnished her with, I presume, the same solution, and after three or four washings, the pain was re- moved, and no coniplaint since. This is to certify, that about four months past, I had a severe tooth ache, for three nights and days without intermission, and by washing my mouth with what Mr. Guy calls hisEssence of Sulphur, 1 obtained immediate relief, and have experienced no return of pain from that time to the present. We the subscribers, having, in both our families, experienced the beuefioial effects of Mr. Francis Guy's Essence of Sulphur, as a cure for the tooth ache, feel bound to declare, (judging from what we have witnessed) that we Believe it possesses every virtue which the inventor ascribes to it, and that it is a sovereign remedy for this tormenting com- plaint.
