Who broke into my Counting-Room last
night, and stole out of my desk a black Mo-
rocco Case, containing Bank Notes, Notes
of hand, Debenture Certificates, Sc. is en-
titled to my thanks for throwing the same
into my yard, without disturbing the two I
last mentioned securities, and as 1 can assure '
him that advice is forwarded to stop the pay-
ment of the 10 notes ol 20 dollars each, on
the Newbern Bank, and one .0 dollar Bute
on Cape Fear Bank, which can be of no use
to him, but the recovery of which will save
me the trouble and expence of giving bonds
01" indemnity to those Banks, 1 have to request
he will be good enough to return them in
the same way that he did the case, or thro'
the medium of the Post Office, as ma\ be most
convenient—he may as well include in the
same packet, a dirty 5 dollar Note, on the
Bank at Middlebury, and 1 recommend the
thief (who by the way has frequently received
the reward of his labor at n.y hand nut ol the
case above mentioned) to increase the packet'
by adding the 2 yellow looking notes of 20
debars each, on the offr e ol Discount and
