Departed this transitory life, at G oven's-
town, on the 29th Oetob >r, John Gkimes,
formerly a respectable inhabitant of Phila-
delphia, leaving behind him a numerous fa-
mily to lament the ineparable loss.
O, Christian, pause ! think on thv frail St
touting state--nor value too highly any
worldly gift. At six o'clock this man was
well, enjoying his wife's affecti m and his -{
children's smiles ; at eight, lie was snatched
away, alas ! forever, from all his heart held
dear.
