real pleasure to be informed that Messrs.
Kollingsw'oith and Gilpin, the president &
vice president did not approve of those

spectable gentlemen, who disapproved the
proceedings, did not secede from the others,
but permitted their names to be given to the
public in such a manner as could not but
be consideied proof of their approbation. A
spirited effut on their part tnirjht have pre-
vented that disgraceful conduct, at least it
¦would have destroyed its effect; but by their
acquiescence, and the authority of their
names, the c ntageon was circulated more
