Continues to offer h.s professional services
to the citizens of Baltimore, and informs them
that he has opened a Shop, in the above
street, for the Shei ingof Horses feet, accord
ing to the modern improved plan ; that is on
the following principle :
The Frog oi the foot never to be pared, to
bear equal weight with the shoe, and the shoe
to be forged in such a manner as to bear a
level surface on the ground and at the same
time a sufficient space betweeen the shoe and
soie. of the foot.
It would appear, at first thought that the
frog pressing on the ground, would injure the
horse ; but when we consider the shape, situ-
ation, quality and composition of the flog,
together with its connection with the exter-
nal and internal parts of the foot, we must ac-
knowledge it was placed there for most es-
sential purposes. It is elastic, and the scape
of a wedge, convex, and placed in the centre
of the heels
This wedge like shape, and convexity must
be intended lor some purpose, ai.d that is to
keep the heels expanded, which operation
takes place in the following manner ; allow
the frftg to press on the ground, and when
ever the horse sets Ins foot down, the li'og as-
cends, tiat. is, it rises u,j between the heel's ;
when he takes it up, the frog descends and
by this alternate moth n the heels arc preserv
eil expanded. The loot forms hail a circle,
which ist as con-
fined to my bed, and became so weak that I
could not nut move without assistance. Iny
situation at that time being so seriously alarm-
ing, as no relief could be obtained, I was
given over, and even death would Dave been
desirable tome, had not a. friend of mine, who
by chance called to see me, who had just re
covered from a similar complaint, thocgh not
so severe as mine. He informed me that he
was cured by taking l)r Robei tsen's Stomachic
Elixir of health, and advis -d me to send, to
you for a bottle. I immediately did so, and by
'ollowing your instructions given with tli*
bottle, before Iliad taken Hall alnitile, I found
myself much relieved, and my disorder great-
ly abated, aid by continuing to take, it, in one
week I was able to walk out, and in less than
a fortnight was able in attend to my business
I therefore recommend every fam.il; to be
provided with this invaluable medicine, parti-
cularly those who live at a distance in the

Robertson's Stoma hie Kir ir of Health, is
the most etlcctua! remedy in the world, I
nave since recommended it to several of my
friends in similar complaints, who have always
been relieved immediately after taking it.—

Sir... For the good of the public and benefit
of the afflicted, 1 tliiiuv proper to inform you,
that having lanoredfor upwards of six months
under a very bad Cough, attended with diffi-
culty of'breatlilng, pains in n.y breast and side,
and a sickness at my stontsah ; having lostall
appetite, I became so very much reduced ill
my strength as to be unable io walk. I was
considered in a consuropjjioi!, and gi, en up for
a lost man. In this hopeless, situation I fad
recoure to Dr. Robertson's Stomachic Elixir of
Health, and to my great astonishment,, before
I had taken one bottle, found myself very
much relieved. I expectorated a great quan-
tity of phlegm, which has eased me of one of
the most violent coughs that ever a man had ;
I have taken it re, ulsrly ever since, and now
find myself completely recovered, and shall
certainly, for the benefit received, recommend
it as far as I can, believing it. to be a most effi-
cacious medicine in the above complaint.

Of Mr. Peter Denmen, No 278, south Second

Dear Sir,
It is with the utmost satisfaction I in-
form you of the cure effected by your truly-
invaluable Stomachic Elixir of Health, as tiie
whole of my family, including myself, being
six in number, were violently affected with
the influenza, attended with very bad coughs,
pairs in the linibs,i-tid difficulty of'breathing,
which continued ty increase. I applied to a
physician, but his medicines had no effect,—
just at that time, having heard of the cures
made by Dr. Robertson's Stomachic Elixir of
Health, I determined to try a bo I tie of it; I
did, and its effects exceeded my expectations.
The first two or three doses caused me to ex-
pectorate avast quantity of tough vicid phlegm,
and so speedily removed every symptom of
the cold, that by the tiwe we had taken three
bottles we were all perfectly cured, except a
weakness that remained, for which I have ad-
ministered Dr. Robertson's Patent Wine jot-
ters, and 1 have found them wonderfully effica-
cious in strength) ning the system, and destroy-
in;'- of worms, as two of my children have
voided avast quantity by taking them, and are
now growing strong and healthy. I have since
recommended the above medicines to a num-
ber of my friends, who have been iwisneciiilely
relieved by Uluug Uitnt.

TIC DROPS
The Gout, Rheumatism, Lumbago, and the
various disorders of the same nature, are so
exquisitely painful, and so difficult to be cured,
that they have justly excitedtl.e utmost stretch
of medical investigation. Some professional
gentlemen have excelled in one department oi
the sciences j others in another. Dr. 'iissot
particularly has long been renowned for the
superiority of his prescriptions in chre!iic„i
diseases, and the length of tin e which elap
seil during his sole attention to the nature and
effects anu cure of these affections, render
the medicines which he recommended oi in-
valuable importance. The beneficial c.fTects of
these drops, have been so often experienced,
and their extraordinary efficacy has been at-
tested by witnesses so numerous and so unim-
p.-ichi'bly credible, that incredulity itself
cannot doubt the virtues of Dr Iissot's Gout
and Rheumatic Drops. Large quantities have
already Deen vended, and the sale is now be-
come so general) and theircertaintyin curing
the disorders of a chronic nature is so com-
pletely ascertained, that certificates of their
unbounded in ilit arc now unnecessary. Tes-
timonies of their value, and a volume of at-
tested cases performed by .them, may be seen

Of General Ridgi ly of Hampton.
Icertiiy that having received a blow on my
knee, which induced severe pain and sWefc.
ling, I was advised to apply to Dr. Tissot's
Gout and Rheumatic Drops, and on iiatlwng
the part with them only a tew times, ngreea

cure. Another time iny wrist was affected
with rheumatism to such a degree, as to ren-
der n.y hand for the time useless, when on
making application of the same remedy-
like manner, tlie disorder in the course
twenty, four in urs was entirely removed.
I therefore f om the experience 1 have had
of the efficacy of said medicine, consider it a
beneficent act, to recommend it in* similar ca-

and earnestly advised me to apply Dr. Tissot's
