Subject: . Mr. Edward Vidler, associate of Joseph Clark . ECP/ 51/ 5//

MEMO Mr. Vidler's association with Joseph Clark begins in Annapolis. I include a notecard on Mr. Vidler because Isabella Clark mentions in her Novermber 25 letter to Morris/Nicholson/Greenleaf that Messrs Vidler and Jackson handle her business accounts in DC. Vidler appears in the 1820 Census (the only DC census the MSA has). In doing a general search on him I discovered that he worked with Clark on the State House in 1785. Vidler advertisers as a builder in the Maryland Gazette and is paid by the state for inspecting buildings.

See Paper files for receipts signed by Vidler for Joseph Clark and his ad
