Subject: . Meeting with Dr P Jan. 22 1998. ECP/ 99/ 3//
Met with Dr. P briefly to discuss my project. Once again we talked about visions of opportunity for women in the new republic. I don't think I am accurately expressing my concerns. I do feel that I have a lot of materials on Isabella Clark, Anna Thornton, and to a lesser extent Abigail Adams. My problem really is conceptualization. I am having difficulties piecing them together and with the whole idea of creating the City and fitting in how they are participating.
Dr. Papenfuse talks about how I should represent Anna Thornton and William Thornton as the successful version of Isabella Clark and Joseph Clark.
I need to deemphasize the Revolution in the way that I reworded the first chapter. Rely less on Mary Beth Norton etc and bring up more current. Dr. P talked about looking at the Rev as speding the speculation.
