UKNK QUIZ INDICTS NONE SALISBURY, Md., March 19. Following a four-day investigation of the lynching of Matthew Williams, colored, the Wicomico county grand jury has reported it could find no evidence to connect anyone with the affair. The jury heard 120 witnesses. Wiliams shot and killed Daniel J. Elliott, lumber dealer, at Salisbury, December 4. He was taken that day from the Peninsula Gen-cral Hospital, where he was under treatment for wounds inflicted in the fight with Ellott and hanged by a mob. The jury also reported it could find no evidence of a Communist organization, of which it was said Williams was a member, in Wicomico county.
