| 43 J.Robertson who notified the Board that he desired to be absent from his duties during the time mentioned. Request of C. & P. Telephone To re-build Police Line. In the matter of the request of the Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company to re-build and maintain line on Fulton avenue, as referred to in the proceedings of September 26th., a report was received from Sergeant Samuel R.Boone, in charge of the Electrical Department, recommending that the request of the C. & P. Telephone Company be granted. It was ordered that the permission asked for by the C. & P. Telephone Company be complied with. See Exhibit No. 822. Leave of Absence Matron Mary C. Keehne, N.E.District. A report was received from the Marshal transmitting communication from the Superintendent of Matrons, recommending that special leave of absence, with pay, be granted Mrs. Mary C. Keehne, Matron, Northeastern District, because of the illness of her children, etc. The Marshal having approved the recommendation of the Superintendent of Matrons, it was ordered that leave of absence, with pay, be granted Matron Mary C.Keehne for two weeks. See Exhibit No. 823. Boxing Exhibition. Report. Report was received from the Marshal upon the subject of Boxing Exhibition, given at the Music Hall, October 16,1902, under the auspices of the Eureka Athletic Club. Said report was read, and ordered filed, see Exhibit No. 824. Permits. Upon the recommendation of the Marshal, it was ordered that permit be granted the Eutaw Athletic Club to give Boxing Exhibition at Germania Maennerchor Hall, October 21,1902. |
