| Permit for Sale of Liquor. Church Fair. The Secretary submitted application of the German Luthern Church, Catherine & Lombard streets, for one permit in favor of John M.Hoffman, to sell intoxicating liquor at a fair to be given by the said church at Frohslnn*s Hall, November 11,12,13,1902. It was ordered that the request of the German Luthern Church as above, be granted, viz;- That one permit be issued for November 11,12 and 13, for the sum of $5.00 Saloon. Madeira Al. near Gough street. Unsigned communication was received complaining of saloon Madeira alley, near Gough street, where the writer of said communication alleges, liquor is sold in violation of law. It was ordered that the said communication be referred to the Marshal for his attention. Transfers - Northern District. It was ordered that the following transfers be made in the Northern District, to take effect at once, viz:- That Officer Charles J.McCourtf be assigned to the post made vacant by the promotion of Officer Joseph F.Norton. That Officer John A.Way, be transferred from B. to A.Division. That Officer Robert T.Noel, be transferred from B. to C.Division, vice Officer Emerson King. Bills Passed.
