| Donations. Upon the recommendation of Captain John J.Fullem, Western District, approved by the Marshal, it was ordered that Detective Harry M.Hammersla of the Western District, be permitted to retain ten dollars donated to him by Oliver Messersmith for the recovery of diamond ring. Upon the recommendation of the Marshal it was ordered that Captain George G.Henry be permitted to retain twenty dollars donated to him by the United States Government for the arrest and delivery of Isaiah W.Rumbold, a deserter from the United States Navy. _Retirement of Officer Emerson King, N.District. Fursuant to the Board's directions of October 15,1902,as referred to in the minutes of that date, a report was received from the Police Physicnans upon the subject of their examination of Officer Emerson King; said report stating that Officer Emerson King is permanently disabled and \infit for active police duty, by reason of injuries received while in the discharge of his duty. It was therefore ordered that Officer Emerson King be retired on one-half pay; said retirement to date from and after October 23,1902. The vote upon the retirement of Officer Emerson King, as above, was as follows:- President Upshur, Yea, Commissioner Fowler, Yea. Wrestling Match. Application for Permit. An application was received from Charles J.Weiss, 418 Robert street, for permit to hold Wrestling Exhibition at Ger-mania Maennerchoir Hall, October 28th. It was ordered that the said application be referred to the Marshal for investigation and recommendation. |
