The minutes of the previous meeting, October 20,1902, were read, approved and adopted. Boxing Exhibition. Permit. Upon the recommendation of the Marshal it was ordered that permit be granted to the Eureka Athletic Club to give Boxing Exhibition at Germania Maennerchor Hall, October 24,1902. Application for Permit. Application was received from the Eureka Athletic Club for permit to hold Sparring contest, Friday October 31st. It was ordered that the said application be referred to the Marshal for investigation and recommendation. Assignments of Magistrates. The Secretary reported to the Board that Justice Daniel J. Loden, Western District, had notified the Department October 21, that he desired to be absent from his duties from 3 to 5 P. M.,
