| Opera House, complaining of the use of the s.s. of Fayette st., near Eutaw by Mr. Kinnear, owner of stable Fayette street near Eutaw, for the standing of vehicles. It was ordered that the said complaint of Mr. Ford be referred to the Marshal with instructions to confer with the State's Attorney to ascertain his views as to whether or not the standing of vehicles by Mr. Kinnear, as referred to by Mr. Ford, is in violation of law, and he will so advise the Grand Jury, if the Police Department reports Mr. Kinnear to that body. Appointment of Probation Officer. To fill the vacancy in the grade of Probation Officer, caused by the resignation of Probation Officer William H.Disney, the Board appointed Eligible Eugene A.Henry, a probation officer; said appointment to take effect October 31,1902. The vote upon the appointment of Eligible Eugene A.Henry, a probation officer, was:- President Upshur, Yea, Commissioner Morris, Yea, Commissioner Fowler, Yea. Clerk - Western Station. The Secretary was directed to call the attention of the Marshal to the frequency of mistakes on the part of the Clerk at the Western District Station-house, particularly, to the error made by the said Clerk in making out charge against Officer William H.Disney, wherein, the place the said officer was charged to have entered is given as that of the residence of Mrs. Lillie Pluck's, 1207 Glyndon avenue, whereas the proper place was the house of Mrs. Gertrude Gosnell, 1019 Sterrett street. The Secretary was also directed to say to the Marshal that the work of the Clerk at the Western District Station-house so far as the Board has noticed is of an unsatisfactory character.
