OGC 125 Donations. Upon the recommendation of Captain of Detectives, approved by the Marshal, it was ordered that Detectives John H.Mayer, James K.Dick, '7illian M.Miller and John H.Kratz, be permitted to retain ten dollars donated to them by Mrs. William H.Crim for services at the funeral of Dr. William H.Crim, November 18,1902. Upon the recommendation of the Marshal it was ordered that Officer Charles E.Hurley of the Northwestern District be permitted to retain twenty dollars donated to him by the United States Government for the arrest of Herbert K.Snyder, a deserter. Upon the recommendation of the Marshal it was ordered that Officer Janes M.Coale, Northwestern District, be permitted to retain twenty dollars donated to him by the United States Government for the arrest of Thomas Welch, a deserter. Assignment of Magistrate. The Secretary reported that Police Headquarters had been advised on the afternoon of November 20,1902, that Justice Win. J.Garland, Eastern District, was unable, by reason of sickness, to attend to his duties at the Eastern District Station-house; that he, the Secretary, had assigned Justice Jacob Rab to act as Police Justice for the Eastern District from 3 P.M., November 20,1902, until relieved in the place of Justice Garland. (Additional Justice Poe at the Southern District). The action of the Secretary in the assignment of Magistrate as above, was approved. Requisition. * Requisition No. 635 was drawn on the Mayor & City Council for |38,336.98 to pay the salaries of the Secretary, Assistant to the Secretary, Counsel and three Police Physicians for the month of November 1902; to pay the Marshal and Deputy Marshal from November 16, to 30,1902; to pay the police force for two weeks from November 6 to 19, together with sundry bills:-
